Connect the audio. Start talking.

1. Download and sign in

Get the Windows installer from the official download page. Install, register or sign in, and check your internet connection. This guide follows the VB-CABLE setup workflow; labels may change between client versions.

2. Configure the virtual cable

Follow the client setup tutorial to install or detect VB-CABLE. Set the listening output for CABLE Output to your actual headphones or speakers, not back to the virtual cable. Routing it back into itself can create an audio loop.

If the devices do not appear in Windows, finish the driver installation procedure and reopen sound settings and ValComms.

3. Route teammate speech

In Valorant voice chat settings, select CABLE Input (VB-Audio Virtual Cable) as the output device. In ValComms, select CABLE Output for teammate audio. The different names are expected: the game sends audio into the cable and the translator reads it from the other end.

Ask for a short sentence and look for activity on the CABLE Output recording meter. Confirm you can hear teammates in your headphones before starting translation.

4. Select your microphone

Choose your physical microphone in ValComms. Do not select either virtual cable device. Configure the available communication language, push-to-talk key, automatic copying and translated speech playback.

With automatic copying enabled, release push-to-talk, wait for the translation, open game chat and press Ctrl + V. Local speech playback does not automatically become your team microphone; what teammates hear depends on your routing.

5. Check the overlay and billing

Test a clear short sentence, position the subtitle overlay and lock it. If exclusive fullscreen hides the overlay, try borderless windowed mode. Read billing and allowance details before a long session.
